Andrew’s Newsletter!

Posted by on Monday, July 23rd, 2018

Hey Guys,

I honestly hope this past month has been awesome for you all in someway or another… it sure has been for me… busy but awesome!!

In between continuing our show nightly in Las Vegas, we’ve been working round the clock and we’re so excited to share with you our brand new studio album: Romance Of The Jukebox

ROMANCE OF THE JUKEBOX is set for our  FIRST EVER WORLDWIDE RELEASE via our incredible Sony Music family and it’s now available for pre-order!

Screen Shot 2018-07-23 at 11.52.01
It sounds so lush and amazing as the entire album is a collection of fantastic songs with soaring string arrangements, soulful vocals and always a jolt of good-time feels. The album has been produced by Steve Fitzmaurice who has given the world Sam Smith ‘Stay With Me” most recently and then so many amazing records over the last few decades. This has been a labor of love for him too so as a team effort, it stands as one of our finest.

I was thrilled to write a new and original song for the set as well so for new those always listening out for some original HN, there’s a song called ‘LITTLE MORE LOVE’ which is sounds like an instant favorite.

If you pre-order our album now you’ll be able to listen to our tracks before everyone else, starting with ‘Love Train’ which was just released yesterday as our first instant grat (IG), so click here. You can also head over to our HN YouTube to check out the full video and last but not least, please remember to pre-save on Spotify!

This past Month has been a particularly exciting  time for me personally —- my little girl Violette starting to watch Frozen! Well, seriously on top of that thrill, I can’t tell you how blessed I feel to have been able to release a new music project too “Finding Faith” I wrote the new album with my great friend Tim and we had the opportunity to come back to Oz for a week to promote it and play a few songs on TV and some appearances along the way The reaction has been really sensational and truly humbling to be able to share another side of my life to many of the HN fans who have supported me over the years. The first main single Good Hands is currently #1 on the Christian radio charts in Oz and will be released in the US in August … can’t wait to see how this musical trip and faith journey continues for me.

Just this week, we touched down on the East Coast to visit you in Atlantic City and Morristown for a couple of shows before we make our way over to Australia. We’ve already started to plan our One Night Only Show (Sydney) where we will show case a few songs from the new album and it’s gonna be a whole lot of fun. Thanks so much to everyone who bought tickets, it’s now officially SOLD OUT!

Personally, I’m really looking forward to bringing my little one back with me to Oz this August  — a new album PLUS taking her to see her first Koala … sounds like a win win to me.

For our US fans – in addition to the new music we have some great announcements coming soon also… so stay tuned.

Thanks for everything you guys do to allow us to keep singing and making people smile… We never take what we get to do for granted and you guys.

But for now, here’s to a ‘Little More Love’ coming your way from HN this August!

All the best,

Andrew x

Phil’s Update!

Posted by on Friday, June 8th, 2018

Hi everyone!

Wow – so much to report on the HN front this month. Lots of goings on!

We’re so excited to have finished our vocal recording for our next album “Romance Of The Jukebox – Love Is All Around”. This album celebrates the love songs of the Jukebox. It has some beautiful ballads but also some great up-tempo love songs – as well as a fantastic original song written by Andrew. You’ll be humming it all day!

We worked on this album with an amazing producer named Steve Fitzmaurice, with whom some of you may be familiar as he has won 4 Grammy awards and produced some pretty amazing artists (Sam Smith, U2, Seal – you know, nothing special…). Steve is adding the final touches to the songs as we speak so we can’t wait to hear them – and then share them with all of you when the album is released on August 17.

The photo and video shoot we did last week for the album was a huge success too – some really amazing shots that we can’t wait for you to see.

Before we head to Australia to release the album we have a few shows coming up here in the States – we are at the Borgata in Atlantic City on July 20 and 21, and also we are returning to Morristown NJ on July 22 to perform the show that we had to postpone in March due to a snowstorm. The Mayo Performing Arts Centre is a lovely venue, so we’re very happy we found the time to reschedule this gig.

Speaking of Australia – keep your ears open for some more exciting news that we’ll be announcing as we release the album…

This week we are having a short break from our Vegas schedule while Andrew goes back to Australia to release his side project “Finding Faith” – we hope it goes really well for him and that he doesn’t work too hard while the rest of us have a bit of vacation time 🙂 We are back to our regular Vegas schedule from June 12 – and are also changing our start time to 7:30 from that night onward.

Screen Shot 2018-06-08 at 12.19.51

Don’t forget to check out our playlists on Spotify for some great songs that have meant a lot to us in our career – Jukebox classics, 90s hits, Motown – and of course some original HN tunes. Lots of fun!

Looking forward to catching up with you somewhere in the HN world soon.

Lots of best wishes to all – and as always, thanks for all of your amazing support.

An Update from Mike!

Posted by on Monday, April 9th, 2018

Hi guys,

This newsletter comes straight off the back of our exciting US tour. We love our Ultimate Jukebox show so much and so, it is always fun to take it on the road.

Starting in Verona, NJ we travelled all over the East Coast performing at some legendary venues, such as B.B Kings in NYC, before heading back over to the West Coast to finish.

However, touring doesn’t always go to plan and although March tends to be the start of spring time, we were hit hard by the snow storms. As Australians, snow isn’t something we see everyday and we tend to get a little over-excited by it… Many a snowball fight was had and although I’m sure he will deny it, Toby was definitely the loser. Sadly, the snow got pretty heavy that in some instances, we unfortunately had to cancel performances – we were really gutted not to get over to Boston and miss out on Morristown, apologies guys! Yet, luckily we’ve managed to re-schedule our Morristown show and we can’t wait to come back, hopefully to better weather. You can get tickets for it here.

The tour ended on an amazing high in Modesto and we feel extremely lucky to travel to these amazing places to entertain. It’s really rewarding to connect with fans from around the US and we always enjoy people coming to support us and with numerous standing ovations, we think, they might have enjoyed it too!

After some much welcomed down time, we’re back in Vegas! Performing our Jukebox show at the Venetian is awesome and we’re so glad to be back at our second home. It’s great to come back to the residency after the tour, injecting new life and vibrancy into the performances taking what we’ve learnt from the road and applying it to our Venetian show.

Don’t forget to buy your Mom tickets to our show for Mother’s Day weekend, we’d love to see you there! You can get tickets here.

We also hope your Easter break was spent with loved ones and filled with special moments. The guys and I spent the weekend with our families doing various Easter activities. Andrew was especially busy releasing some brand new music as part of a really exciting side project he’s been working on with his good friend and pastor, Tim Dunfield.
Titled Finding Faith, the pair have been working hard writing music and recording over this past year of the Christian worship genre and it sounds fantastic. Please don’t worry he’s not leaving Human Nature – we just really wanted to show our support and we invite you all to follow their journey & check it out here!

Finally, we’ve been working on several new projects set to be revealed later this year and although we wish we could share them with you now you’ll just have to wait a little while longer… Watch this space.

Mike xx

Australia’s HUMAN NATURE have earned their place as one of the world’s finest pop vocal groups of the modern era, and as award-winning Las Vegas resident headliners with their distinctive harmonies and stellar live shows. The fantastic foursome has announced that they will be taking their smash hit Las Vegas show “Jukebox” on the road in March 2018. The tour will support the release of their new studio CD, “JUKEBOX – The Ultimate Playlist” which is available November 3 on Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment and, their PBS special, “HUMAN NATURE: Jukebox – In Concert from the Venetian,” which debuts Thanksgiving weekend.

“We are so excited to bring our ‘Jukebox’ to cities across the USA with our national tour, CD and PBS special,” said Toby Allen of HUMAN NATURE.  “We have so many fans that come to our show at The Venetian in Las Vegas ask us when we will be coming to a city near them, and now, through the television special and tour, we can now take our show on the road from New York to California.”

“Jukebox” has been praised by critics and fans for it’s broad musical offering and flawless production being declared “an incredibly addictive evening of entertainment.”  The show effortlessly mixes pop classics from their back catalogue with Doo-wop, Motown, Soul standards and more – offering the ultimate playlist – live!  HUMAN NATURE’S foursome, Toby Allen, Phil Burton and brothers, Andrew and Mike Tierney, are joined on stage by a dynamic band, The Jukebox All-Stars, and world-class dancers, as they celebrate a mix of musical genres that covers classic hits as well as chart topping hits of today.

“Jukebox” is not only a playlist of the groups influences, but some of the most-loved hit songs from the best vocal artists and groups of all time, including “Why Do Fools Fall in Love,” “Stand By Me,” “Unchained Melody,” “Higher and Higher,” “Dance To The Music” and “Under The Boardwalk.” They show that this “Jukebox” plays everything from The Temptations to Timberlake, from The Beatles to Bruno Mars.

A collection of some of the most-loved hit songs from the best vocal artists and groups of all time, Human Nature’s upcoming CD release, “Jukebox – The Ultimate Playlist,” features such classics as “Will You Love Me Tomorrow,” “Stand By Me,” “Unchained Melody,” “Be My Baby” and “Under The Boardwalk,” reinterpreted with the group’s stellar sound as well as two original songs. “Jukebox: The Ultimate Playlist,” (CD and digital configurations) is available for pre-order now.

The PBS special, “HUMAN NATURE: Jukebox – In Concert from the Venetian,” is inspired by and based on the group’s two Australian multi-platinum selling albums Jukebox and Gimme Some Lovin,’ which feature classic ‘50s and ‘60s pop standards.  The albums were executive produced by the legendary Bob Rock (Michael Bublé, Metallica) and produced by David Pierce (Michael Bublé, Robbie Williams). Pierce joined HUMAN NATURE at The Venetian as a musical collaborator for the JUKEBOX experience. The songs were originally either penned or performed by the likes of The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Righteous Brothers, Fontella Bass and more. In addition, the group have also included two new ‘modern classic’ on the album, original tunes, ‘End of Days’ and ‘Forgive Me Now’.

Human Nature’s, career statistics are staggering. Since signing to Sony Music Australia over two decades ago, Human Nature have sold more than 2.5 million albums, earned 27 platinum awards, scored 17 Top 40 hits and have had five Top Ten tracks worldwide. Standout moments in Human Nature’s career to date include performing to a global audience at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, opening for Michael Jackson and Celine Dion at concerts around the world and appearing on television in the USA on shows as varied as The Talk, Today Show, Oprah, and Dancing With The Stars as well as their own PBS specials Human Nature Sings Motown and the forthcoming Human Nature “Jukebox: In Concert from The Venetian.”

Toby Fills You In On Our New York Trip!

Posted by on Tuesday, October 24th, 2017

Hi HN-ers!

What a busy end of year we are having!

Things started to ramp up when we paid a visit to New York City at the end of September. We always love going to “the city that never sleeps” but this trip was a very special one.

We are so excited and proud share with you that we have signed a record deal with Sony Music Entertainment’s Legacy Recordings! Woo-hoo! It feels so great to be building on the 22 year relationship we have had with Sony Music Australia to now extend that into the US. We had a hugely productive time meeting all the folks that will be helping us bring our music to more of the US and beyond.

Undoubtedly the highlight of the trip was the last evening we were there and we had the opportunity to do our very first Manhattan rooftop performance. Perched high above the bustle of NYC below and with the sun setting over the Manhattan skyline as our backdrop, we showed our new Sony family what we have loved doing for the last 28 years. Our album Jukebox – The Ultimate Playlist is going to be released on November 3rd in the US (but you can always pre-order now on iTunes so you don’t forget 😉 ).

Returning to Vegas with a shiny new recording deal under our belts we jumped back into the Vegas Jukebox show – with it’s new Juke Joint section that continues to be so much fun to perform. We have also been pretty busy with some new video content for you guys – a version of one of our biggest hits in Australia “Wishes” and most recently our own rendition of Sam Smith’s beautiful “Too Good At Goodbyes”. Also, for those of you who might not have caught it, make sure you check out our take on Pink’s “What About Us” – it really seems to suit our voices.

With Halloween just around the corner which will be quickly followed by Thanksgiving here in the states, we are going to finally be out there with the broadcast of our PBS special “Human Nature Jukebox – In Concert From The Venetian”! It feels like this can’t happen soon enough for us as we are so proud of how it has turned out and we just can’t wait for people to see it. We hope you love it.
Phew! – just when you think that’s a lot going on, we will be taking a very quick trip mid-December back to Australia to perform a one-off show as part of the A Day On The Green series. We’ll be performing a huge show of our original hits, Motown, Jukebox and a whole lot of Christmas songs as well. All of that topped off by being outdoors and being able to enjoy a nice glass of wine (it’s at Rochford Wines – we’ll wait till after the show – promise!), it should be an awesome night.

Get your tickets here!

I hope you’ll be able to catch a performance of ours before the end of the year, either in Vegas, on PBS or in Australia on December 16th. If not, grab our brand new Jukebox record November 3rd.

Thanks for all your support and I hope you have a very happy and safe holiday season.

Find out what we’ve been up to with Mike!

Hey Guys,

Well it’s been a super busy past month here in Vegas. We’ve been working hard on refreshing an adding some new songs into the playlist of our Jukebox show at The Venetian. I don’t think any of us predicted how difficult it might be but It certainly has added some fun to the show. One exciting new part to the show we actually get the audience to choose the next song in the show! Keeps us all on our toes and allows the show to really be different every night and just like a real Jukebox.

We also have some exciting news… Our Jukebox show has been nominated for two awards at this year’s Best of Las Vegas and the voting is open right now. All you need to do, is head over to BestofLasVegas.com and follow the steps below:

For those of you living in Oz you may not know but August is a also “back to school“ time in US and my daughter Isabel has just started 2nd grade, and growing up way too fast. Love seeing her get excited about learning new things.

We’ve been getting out and about on TV & radio here in Vegas letting people know the exciting news that our contract at The Venetian has been extended to 2019! Amazing to still be on the strip performing along side some incredible shows and artists in this crazy town. For those of you in Australia don’t get upset cause we’ll still be coming back home as often as we can, watch out for a big announcement coming in the next few weeks, we may be back sooner that you think!!

Hope you’ve all been well and look forward to seeing you at the show soon. Don’t forget to come up a say hi as we come out to say G’day and sign CD’s  after every show.

Finally our hearts go out to all those affected by Hurricane Harvey and the devastating floods in Texas. We all send our love & prayers to those in need and those who are helping and rescuing others. The damage and clean up is and will continue to be unimaginable. If you would like to donate or help please Text HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation to the Red Cross.

Mike xx
